I have to give them credit for trying, but once again I’m just frustrated when I get done. My personal experience with Performics is that they do a great job sending links and offers via email and Orange Links so it’s easy to promote their nice, brand name merchants. I probably wouldn’t bother with them because of their poor conversion, but they do have Target, Barnes & Noble, and my original favorite, Kohls. Kohls is a not-so-much anymore, since they can’t seem to get their web stuff together, but that’s a different story.
So today, in my email, there’s an affiliate survey, with a pitch that I can help them improve and maybe win $500. Hey, I’m all about $500, especially since I’ve really been craving Fannie May candy and I could use some more jeans. So I sincerely did my best to answer the questions seriously and thoughtfully. I even pulled my coupon guy into the discussion when I was was choosing answers about promotions and offers.
I skipped one line in a 10 line question about various aspects of their service: datafeeds. I don’t use their datafeeds, which means I’m not satisfied, extremely satisfied, or the opposite. There was no n/a choice. When I was completely finished I gave them my full name, email address and hit submit. It returned an error that I hadn’t answered #21. I had provided plenty of information in #21, but I had ignored the line about datafeeds. So in a fit of revenge, the survey application had erased all my essay answers and my name, email, etc.
I’m a bullheaded one, at the very least, so I went back and filled in the essay answers again, but with less thought and shorter wording. I forgot to even tell them about this problem with question #21. So I’m here now, telling you, so that you can avoid a similar frustration and maybe increase my chances to pick up a $500 gift card.
You’re welcome!
