I needed a first post to replace the default included one, so I decided to tell about how this web site came to be.  In January, 2007, I was thrilled enough to be attending my first Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas.  But then, to top it off,  Revenue Magazine  was looking for an affiliate to interview for the March/April  issue.   For some reason, the decision was made to interview me for the Affiliate Advantage.  I heard that the reason was because I was “interesting”.

The interview and article turned out to be pretty nice, but I thought that it focused on so much ancient history that the really “interesting” stuff was missed.  And then Eric Reyes, the writer, mentioned that if you were to use my name, it would lead you to one of my domains, which I use to promote various things.

One of my friends who is not an affiliate marketer mentioned that after she read the article, she typed in judimoore.com and found a site that wasn’t me.   I didn’t own the domain at that time; the article was actually talking about a completely different domain that I hadn’t planned to share with the whole world.  I was testing different things on the site and didn’t really want every aspiring Super Affiliate to start swiping copy and ideas and screw up my testing.  I checked judimoore.com and somebody else had it, so I moved on to something else.

It’s too late to make a long story short, but the bottom line is that the domain name came up as available recently and it didn’t look like it had been too abused by the previous owner, so I grabbed it for my collection (80+ at this writing).  Yesterday I finally figured out that this would be a perfect domain for me to stick my toe in the water sharing posts and comments with other Affiliate Marketers and sharing what little I know about Affiliate Marketing for newbies who find this along the way.
